Today, that historic mission is expressed in the following areas of work:
  1. To advance research in the management of the construction process
  2. To promote and improve understanding of CMAA’s Body of Knowledge by colleges and universities and other organizations
  3. To facilitate the cultivation and dissemination of knowledge and understanding of professional construction management (CM), construction program management (PM) through seminars, lectures, workshops, contests, and awards and to facilitate the publication of addresses, essays, treatises, reports, and other literary works by those concerned with the advancement of the welfare of professional CM including students, teachers, and CM professionals.
  4. To promote careers in CM and PM to the next generation of professionals
  5. To award scholarships, travel stipends, or other forms of assistance to students undertaking courses in pursuit of a career in professional CM or PM
  6. To support such other programs involving professional development, research, travel, fellowships, student and university activities a may from time to time be approved by the Foundation Board of Directors.
Scholarships The Foundation awards the Frances M. Keville Memorial Scholarship annually. The Francis M. Keville Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 by Christine Keville, FCMAA through her firm, Keville Enterprises, Inc., in honor of her late father. It honors Frank’s lifelong commitment to learning and opportunity, and reflects his values as a leader and a consummate professional.  To be eligible, students must be female and pursuing a degree in construction management or a related discipline at an institution accredited by a U.S. regional accrediting agency, have a record of leadership and engagement both on- and off-campus, and planning a career in the field. Chapter Scholarships Many of CMAA's Chapters also offer their own scholarships. Students are encouraged to contact chapters directly for information. Make a Gift Gifts to the CMAA Foundation support CMAA's efforts to advance professional CM within the A/E/C community through academic research, publication and dissemination, and providing support to students pursuing university degrees in CM and CM-related disciplines.
