This presentation focuses on techniques performed during the initial stages of a construction project, with a cursory look at forensic evaluations. The careful use of geophysical equipment and techniques can assist in solving some issues encountered during site planning, design and construction. Although caution must be used when performing geophysical surveys, using the right equipment for the job and working with individuals that are familiar with the techniques and their limitations are keys to obtaining the best information while not overestimating capabilities.
