The Fellows designation is one of CMAA's highest honors, conferred upon industry leaders who have made significant contributions to their organizations, the industry and their profession. The goals of the College of Fellows are: to represent a diverse community of thought leaders that lend their knowledge and insight to the strategic issues facing the industry and profession; to identify and develop future leaders; and to take an active role in CMAA.

Gary Berman, PE, FCMAA GREYHAWK

Gary Berman is President and CEO of the international construction management and consulting firm of GREYHAWK. He is a licensed professional engineer wtih more than 30 years of experience in structural design, construction management, dispute resolution, and design-build/EPC contracting. His industry experience has been acquired throughout the United States, as well as Europe, South America, and Asia.

 

During his career, Mr. Berman has served as a structural enginner, designing and constructing hundreds of steel structures. Mr. Berman has been associated with the design, fabrication and erection of over one million tons of structural steel. He is the past Chair of the Board of Governors of the Construction Manager Certification Institute. He is currently a Governor Emeritus. Previously, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Construction Management Association of America for seven years. On two occasions, he was the recipient of CMAA's distinguished service award. Along with his service to CMAA Mr. Berman is also a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction, an associate member of the American Bar Association and a member of the U.K. Society of Construction Law.

 


 

Thomas W. Bishop, PE, FCMAA, URS Corporation

Tom Bishop is vice president, strategy, for URS Corporation and senior vice president for the infrastructure and environment business of URS. He headed URS' construction services group since 2002. Prior to URS, Bishop oversaw large construction projects as well as served as an expert witness in a variety of construction cases as managing director of O'Brien Kreitzberg Ltd. and Mott O'Brien Kreitzberg Ltd. in the UK. Other career highlights include U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission director of nuclear reactor projects construction and operation for the western U.S.; head of the U.S. Navy's nuclear engineering and analysis group; and U.S. Navy design engineer for its "Deep Submergence" program.

Bishop holds a mechanical engineering degree from California Polytechnic and a master's of science degree in systems management from the University of Southern California. He is a licensed professional engineer and a past chair of the CMAA Board of Directors. Bishop currently serves as a member of the Board of the Bay Area Council and is a trustee of the BAC Economic Institute.

 

 


 

Thomas Driscoll, FCMAA

Mr. Driscoll has more than 40 years of program, project, construction management experience, with large-scale construction projects. Mr. Driscoll is currently serving as a senior vice president for URS in its Construction Services Division.

Mr. Driscoll has served as a Planning Engineer, Field Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Executive, and nine years as President of an international construction management consulting organization. He has held senior executive operational positions for more than 15 years, for three major CM firms, all corporate members of CMAA.

Mr. Driscoll has served as an expert witness more than forty times in the areas of construction management, scheduling and delay analysis, productivity measurement, and damages. He has appeared before Federal and State Courts, several Boards of Contract Appeals and Arbitration Panels. He has also served as a lead negotiator, sole arbitrator, party arbitrator, and arbitration panel member.

 

 


 

Al Gravallese, PE, FCMAA, FSAME

 

Albert Joseph Gravallese graduated cum laude from Tufts University in 1954 with a degree in Civil Engineering. During the Korean War he enlisted in the Navy and received a commission as Ensign from Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI. After serving on the USS Winston and teaching engineering, he entered the Naval Reserve Civil Engineering Corps and was active for 31 years.

 

 

Following active duty with the Navy, he went to work at AVCO R & D Construction, studied thermo mechanical engineering for his Master degree at Northeastern University, and also was selected to earn a Master of Science degree in Management at the MIT Alfred P. Sloan School of Management. After 15 years at AVCO he was appointed to be Deputy Assistant Secretary for Environment and Urban Systems at the U.S. Department of Transportation. His civic duties include serving on the Board of Directors for The Society of American Military Engineers, CMAA and the River Creek Homeowner's Association.
 


 

Christine Keville photoChristine Keville, FCMAA, Keville Enterprises

Ms. Keville is President & Chief Executive Officer of Keville Enterprises, Inc. (KEI). She has over 20 years experience on major projects involving buildings, pipe lines, bridges, highways, tunnels, transit & rail, airports and telecommunications construction. Throughout her career, she has worked on numerous projects totaling over $16 billion dollars in value. As the founder and incorporator of KEI, she is accountable for the overall coordination, direction and supervision of this 135 person CM firm spanning throughout nine offices across the nation.

Ms. Keville earned her Masters degree in Construction Management from Northeastern University and her Bachelors degree in Mathematics from North Adams State. She is also a Massachusetts licensed Construction Supervisor. She is a Corporator for Wentworth Institute of Technology and sits on the Industrial Advisory Board for Northeastern University. She is past National President for CMAA and currently serves as Chairman for CMAA’s Foundation. She has served on the Board of Directors for Construction Industries of Massachusetts, Women’s Transportation Seminar – Boston, and the Jordan Hospital. She was recently inducted to the MOLES and became a CMAA Fellow. She received S.S. Womens Business Network’s Women Mean Business award; WTS Boston’s Woman of the Year award; Virginia Tech’s Outstanding Woman in Construction award; Patriots Trail Girl Scouts’ Leading Women award, and Northeastern University’s Outstanding Engineering Alumni award.


 

Joseph P. McAtee, PE, Urban Engineers

 

Mr. McAtee is the executive vice president and chief operations officer of Urban Engineers, Inc. and one of its principal owners, with oversight responsibility for the firm’s design, construction, and program management activities.

He is a registered professional engineer in ten states and a professional land surveyor in Pennsylvania.

He is a member of the Moles; past president of the mid-Atlantic chapter, national chairman of quality management committee, past member of national board of directors, and a fellow of the Construction Management Association of America; member of the American Society of Highway Engineers; past chairman of the Board of Governors of the Construction Management Certification Institute; member of the board of directors and past president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania; chairman of the Construction Management Advisory Council for Drexel University’s Goodwin College; and a member of the Project Management Institute, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of Military Engineers. In 1990, he was named Construction Engineer of the year, and in 2001, he was the “Civil Engineer of the Year” for the American Society of Civil Engineers, Philadelphia Section.


Chris Reseigh, Parsons Brinckerhoff

Chris Reseigh is the Global Director of Program and Construction management for PB. He was the former President of PBCS Inc., the program and construction management subsidiary of Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) for 15 years. His career in engineering and construction management spans more than 40 years and he is a Principal Professional Associate, Principal Project Manager and a PE in many states.

He has an MES degree from the University of New South Wales and a BE (Civil ) degree from the University of Melbourne. He also attended the Duke University Business School of Executive Management. Major Construction Management projects and programs that Chris has actively been involved in include the first Second Avenue Subway in NYC , the MARTA system in Atlanta , the Sunshine Skyway Cable Stayed Bridge , Florida’s Turnpike , the Washington Airports National and Dulles Program ( MWAA ) , the Melbourne, Australia Citi Link , General Motors Engineering facilities ,Smithsonian New Air and Space Museum , O’Hare Modernization program for runways, the New Delhi Airport PM and the Medupi Power Station in South Africa amongst others.

He is a Fellow and a past board member of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and a Fellow of ASCE. He currently serves as the chair of the Construction committee of the ASCE Construction Directorate. He is a member of the National Academy of Construction (NAC) and a member of the Moles.

He also serves as the President of the ACE Mentoring Affiliate for the Greater Washington DC/Northern Virginia Metro area as well as mentoring, training and interfacing with various colleges and Universities.


Rocco Vespe, PE, FCMAA, Hill International, Inc.

Rocco R. Vespe is Vice President of Claims and Consulting Services at Hill International working out of Hill’s global headquarters in Marlton, NJ.  Mr. Vespe has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry including 20 years as a general and concrete contractor followed by more than 20 years as a consultant on project management, construction management, estimating, schedule analysis, dispute resolution, claims evaluation, delay and damages, contractor and construction manager performance evaluations, design-build and other procurement methods, troubled project intervention, OSHA and safety evaluations, and provision of expert testimony. His construction projects included transportation, municipal, hospital and medical, manufacturing and power plants, chemical, petrochemical, hotel, gaming, educational, roads and bridges, parking structures, shopping centers, casinos, as well as commercial and residential buildings. Mr. Vespe has provided owner representation and construction management services for many public and private owners including the Maine Department of Transportation, the Barrington (NJ) School District, the Union City (NJ) School District and the Pennsylvania Office of Budget.

As Vice President of a major contracting firm, Mr. Vespe was responsible for project management, estimating, planning, contract negotiations, value engineering, change order analysis, and scheduling. Mr. Vespe has been qualified as a construction expert in the areas of general construction, delays and damages, and the roles and responsibilities of construction management parties in Federal and State courts. 

In addition, he presents seminars and webinars on construction topics and has co-authored a McGraw Hill textbook, Construction Estimates: From Take-off to Bid as well as Construction Claims, The Construction Process from Start to Finish and Managing Construction Projects. Mr. Vespe has also written articles as well as developed and taught seminars nationally on project management, claims avoidance, risk management, alternative contracting methods, change order management and partnering. In 2010, Mr. Vespe was inducted as one of 49 Fellows of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and he serves as president of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of CMAA.
