Most Common Failures of Quality in Complex Projects

Thursday, May 9
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

A complex project is a project that involves a high degree of difficulty, uncertainty, and risk due to a variety of factors such as the size, scope, duration, and interdependencies of the project. Such projects typically involve multiple stakeholders, complex processes, and multiple disciplines. Complex projects in the construction industry face many potential challenges that can threaten their ability to deliver a quality end product on time and within budget. Such projects have historically shown multiple pain points that are repeating themes across the industries. When these elements are not managed effectively, they impact the quality of the project.

In this webinar, Tariq Masud from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) will discuss the typical failure points of construction quality in complex projects, and how they may be managed through effective quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) methods. The webinar will emphasize the difference between the traditional Design-Bid-Build projects against the Design-Build construction and how the scope of quality must be enlarged when addressing such projects.
