The Construction Management Practitioners Assessment Tool
CMpat™ is a tool to assess CM experience, aid professional development, and quantify progress towards the CCM credential.
The CMpat™ provides a means to quantify the accumulation of Responsible-In-Charge (RIC) experience and equate it to levels of demonstrated experience culminating with application preparation for the CCM.
How it Works
- The CMpat™ tracks a Construction Manager’s (CM) professional progress as they accumulate RIC experience
- Through an interactive portal, they will keep records of their experience
- Upon completion and verification of certain amounts of RIC experience, the CM will be designated a CM Level 1, 2, 3 or 4, and is granted a certificate indicating that achievement.
Advantages of CMpat™
- Coordinates fully with CCM process administered separately by the CMCI
- Ensures continued attention to progressive assignments and increases in challenges and opportunities for CM
- Constant reminder of progress and status of readiness to apply for the CCM certification
Why CMpat is important to Owners and CM & PM Firms
- Provides an objective means of “knowing” the caliber of CM professionals they are using
- The CM Rating gives an “objective” indication of the level of critical experience the CM possesses in relation to the CCM credential achievement.
- The CM Rating is an indicator of the CM’s accumulation of RIC experience needed to qualify them to apply for the increasingly recognized and valuable CCM credential
- It is a measure of the increase in value and potential of the CM
