Professional Development Committee

 

Role:

To plan, coordinate, implement and oversee all of the Association’s professional development activities including continuing education programs and National Conference and Spring Forum educational tracks.  

Goals

  • Identify needs for continuing education. Plan, coordinate, implement and oversee all of the Association’s professional development activities​
  • Develop educational tracts for the National Conference and Spring Forum
  • Develop and submit a schedule of planned professional development activities for the year to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors at the winter meeting of the Board of Directors
  • Evaluate professional development offerings including content, delivery methods and make recommendations for improvements. Make sure that continuing education offerings are consistent and aligned with CMAA’s standards and policies
  • The committee shall monitor industry development and identify new areas for professional development offerings
  • Evaluate and report on the efficacy of professional development activities including: number of attendees, revenues and expenses, and attendee satisfaction with the offering
  • Work with Business Development Committee to identify opportunities for additional revenue generation from professional development activities
  • Perform other duties as prescribed by the Board of Directors
