Standards of Practice Distance Learning

CMAA presents its 'Standards of Practice Distance Learning Course' in a comprehensive, self-paced instructional program delivered by industry leading Certified Construction Managers. This 18 hour and 45 minute, online curriculum is an excellent source of education for those preparing to take the CCM examination, as well as those interested in learning more about the core competencies of professional Construction Management. All seminars are self-paced, include assessments, and are eligible for PDHs.

On-Demand Online Seminars

CMAA presents On-Demand Distance Learning as part of a developing library of seminars on a variety of construction management and general construction industry topics. Included is the Standards of Practice Course, a comprehensive, self-paced instructional program delivered by industry leading Certified Construction Managers. All seminars are self-paced, include assessments, and are eligible for PDHs.


The new CM Practitioners Assessment Tool™ records and tracks career progress and the means to quantify the accumulation of Responsible-In-Charge (RIC) experience through levels of demonstrated experience culminating with applying to earn the CCM credential.


One-hour sessions that explore topics of interest to CMs, including Risk Management, Legal issues, Sustainability, BIM, Project Management, and more!

National Events

CMAA hosts several major national gatherings each year. These events offer up-to-date educational programs and unrivaled networking and business exploration opportunities.
The National Conference & Trade Show is CMAA's flagship event. The event, which is held each fall, includes a comprehensive exhibit hall, plenary and breakout sessions, and the Industry Recognition Banquet, during which the Project Achievement Awards, Person of the Year award, and other honors are presented. 
CMAA also hosts a smaller, high-level spring conference, which explores markets, trends, and keys to success in project delivery.  

Continuing Education Credit

A credit value is assigned to each CMAA course and seminar in the form of Professional Development Hours (PDH) and/or Learning Units (LU). CMAA guarantees that its course materials satisfy PDH requirements*   
  Certification is an ongoing commitment to professional development. The CMCI Board of Governors requires that CCM designees undergo recertification every three years. Recertification requires a $200 recertification fee.
  CMAA  is registered with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as an approved CES provider of Learning Units (LU). One educational contact hour equals one (1) LU. To receive LUs through CMAA, you must provide your AIA member number on all registration materials and attendance forms. Transcripts are available through   
  CMAA is a registered provider of continuing education through the Registered Continuing Education Program (RCEP).Transcripts and certificates are available electronically through RCEP at All transcripts are reported based on the email address you provided to CMAA.
