Government Affairs

The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) represents the professional construction management (CM) profession before the U.S. Congress, federal agencies, state and local governments, and industry stakeholders.
 
The focus of CMAA's advocacy program is to:  
• Educate others about the value of professional construction management
• Monitor and influence legislative and regulatory initiatives that impact the CM industry
• Partner with stakeholders to promote positive construction industry policies
• Work with CMAA members and regional chapters on CM-related issues
• Inform CMAA members of key issues that impact the CM industry
 
CMAA’s advocacy program targets numerous issues including:
• Building Construction
• Transportation Infrastructure
• Water Infrastructure
• Procurement
• State Regulation (e.g. licensing)
• Key Business Issues
