Requirements for Papers
The eJournal of Construction Management is published by the Construction Management Association of America as a professional service to its members, associates, and the entire design and construction industry involved in the practice of managing construction.
The eJournal exists as a focal point for the examination of timely technical issues confronting the architectural, engineering, construction and facilities management communities. It seeks to solicit and present the multiplicity of views that exist within the construction industry.
The eJournal is committed to the regular publication of papers that present scholarly analysis and insight into issues affecting the broad scope of construction management, inclusive of project management, program management, and construction consulting. It is the only journal of its kind devoted exclusively, yet broadly, to construction management and related areas of practice. The Editorial Board’s goal is for the Journal to contain high-quality papers that are topical, practical, beneficial, provocative and reflect the many views of the diverse membership of the Association.
* Preference will be given to papers not previously published. If a published paper is submitted, we will require the permission of the publisher. Conference papers are not considered previously published.
* Papers shall meet the above-described technical requirements. Subject matter can include, but shall not be limited to, project post-mortem, case studies, construction statistics, innovative techniques, best practices, research and development, and management practices.
* Subject matter must be of a scholarly nature supported by facts or research. Citations and bibliography are required on a separate page following the paper's body. The author is requested to include keywords for the paper.
* Papers shall be in Arial font, 11 point, full justification and double-spaced. Margins shall be one inch on all sides.
