Digital Badge Program
Digital Badge Program
CMAA and CMCI have partnered with digital badging provider, Acclaim, to provide members and certification holders with a digital badge for their membership, CCM and/or CMIT credentials.
Digital badges can be used for:
- Email signatures
- Social media sites
- Electronic resumes
Digital badges help convey to employers, potential employees and other interested parties, your dedication to excellence in Construction Management.
What is a Digital Badge?
This is what a CMCI digital badge looks like when you add it to you email signature or website. There is personalized metadata included with CMCI badge logos, which tie the badge to your personal certification achievements.
Digital badges are online representations of your achievements. CMCI's digital badges provide our certification holders increased value by enabling interested parties to view and learn more about the credentials you hold, with a single-click. When someone (such as a manager or human resources staff) clicks on your badge, they will be directed to an overview page, providing them metadata on your qualifications and specialized skills, as well as the process you completed to earn and maintain the credential. This additional layer of content helps you more fully explain your capabilities and high-level achievements.
What does it look like?
When someone clicks the link corresponding with your badge, an overview is presented on the acclaim site, and will look like this:
Why Should I Use This Digital Badge Program?
CMAA and CMCI have worked with Acclaim to develop this digital badge program to help solve a problem many certification holders have expressed; Lots of HR and management professionals do not understand the specialized skills and abilities I have, or how to verify them." Your Adoption of CMAA and CMCI's digital badges will help increase awareness of your specialized construction management certification, and more importantly, how they differentiate you from other construction professionals, which greatly enhance the value of being a Certified Construction Manager.
How Do I Claim My Digital Badge?
If you are already a CMAA member, a CCM or a CMIT, you should receive an email with instructions for how to claim your respective badge(s). If you do not receive an email, you are asked to contact CMAA's Certification Department. If you are not already a member, or have not earned your CCM or CMIT, you will receive the aforementioned email upon registration and/or completion of your certification.
