CMAA Foundation Scholarship Program
CMAA's Foundation provides scholarships yearly for selected students plus an all-expenses-paid trip to the National Conference & Trade Show. Scholarships will be awarded by the CMAA Foundation to students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate student program in a construction management or CM-related program for the next school year. Candidates must have completed a minimum of one full academic year and have a minimum of one full year remaining in their course of study. Scholarships are for one year.
Since the CMAA Foundation incorporated the Regional Chapter scholarship recipients into its selection process, students may now be considered for Foundation scholarships in one of two ways:
1. Be selected as the top-rated undergraduate or graduate-level scholarship applicant by a CMAA regional chapter (To inquire about scholarships offered by CMAA regional chapters, please contact the appropriate chapter.); or
2. If a student lives in an area not served by a CMAA chapter or served by a CMAA chapter without a scholarship program, he/she may complete and submit a CMAA Foundation scholarship application in accordance with the instructions contained in the application package.
Regional Chapters will forward the application from the top undergraduate and graduate chapter scholarship recipient to the Foundation at foundation@cmaanet.org as soon as the information is available but no later than 30 June. Chapters may utilize their own scholarship application, but are encouraged to use the Foundation's application. The use of this application by the chapters saves student applicants from completing two separate applications. The 2012 Foundation application is available here.
Since the application is a Word document, it can easily be tailored to reflect the Chapter's program by eliminating the instructions for submitting to the Foundation. In addition, if the Chapter has specific questions or items it wants included for chapter consideration, these can be added at the end of the Foundation application and then removed prior to forwarding the application on.
Chapters having questions regarding the application process should contact Martha Montague (336-492-6028).
