Regional Committee Roster

​Role:

Promote the growth of new and existing regional chapters.  Assist all chapters in fulfilling their financial and reporting obligations to the Association.  Assist in promoting best practices among chapters and encourage and facilitate chapter to chapter communications and idea exchange.  Monitor chapter activity for compliance with the Association’s by-laws and policies adopted by the Board of Directors.   

 

Goals:

  • Identify and maintain an up-to-date listing of chapter leaders
  • Assist CMAA members in creating new regional chapters for approval by National Board of Directors
  • Participate in the formation and subsequent approval of new student chapters 
  • Provide tools and assistance to chapters in recruiting and retaining members
  • Assist chapters in fulfilling their financial and reporting obligations to the Association
  • Encourage and facilitate chapter-to-chapter communications and dissemination of best practices
  • Assure that chapter events are not in conflict with nationally sponsored events by CMAA
  • Coordinate Chapter Leaders' meeting at the two National Conferences and provide training for chapter officers in attendance 
  • Perform other duties as prescribed by the Board of Directors
