CCM Exam now offered 6 times a year
The Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI) has announced that effective January 1, 2006, the CCM exam will be administered at CMCI sponsored locations six times a year.
In addition to the exam being offered at CMAA’s Spring Leadership Forum in Philadelphia on May 6, 2006, and at CMAA’s National Conference in Tampa on October 14, 2006, the CCM exams will be given once a quarter. For each exam date, locations will be announced at convenient sites throughout the U.S.
“CMCI’s Board of Governors decided to offer the exam six times a year to provide more effective service to the CCM candidates and to promote a deadline to encourage a timelier process through certification,” said Edward Bond Jr, CCM, CMCI Chairman.
To comply with accreditation standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Institute will no longer allow candidates to schedule locally proctored exams.
CMCI will post their 2006 first quarter regional exam date and locations by December 2005. You will be able to access these locations online at http://cmaanet.org/cmci/guidelines_exam_site.php.
CMCI recognizes construction managers and program managers who demonstrate knowledge and experience essential to the practice of professional construction management. Its mission is to recognize through certification, individual knowledge and experience that meet the established practices of Construction Management. CMCI is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.
