Cialdini to keynote Lifelong Learning for Leaders 2003 Spring Conference
McLean, VA - The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) will hold its Spring Conference May 5-7, 2003 at the Radisson Scottsdale, Scottsdale, Arizona. This year’s keynote will focus on leadership and influence for today’s construction managers interested in sharpening their project management knowledge and skills. Session tracks include Industry Hot Topics, Program Management, and Leadership.
Robert B. Cialdini, Ph.D. received his graduate training from the University of North Carolina and Columbia University. He has held Visiting Scholar Appointments at Ohio State University, the University of California, the Annenberg School of Communications, and the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University. Additionally, Dr. Cialdini has been elected President of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. He is currently Regent's Professor of Psychology at Arizona State University, where he has also been named Distinguished Graduate Research Professor.
His book, Influence: the Science of Persuasion, is the result of years of study into the reasons that people comply with requests in business settings. It has sold over a quarter million copies in nine languages.
Cialdini will demonstrate to Conference attendees the principles that determine beliefs, create attitudes, and move people to agreement and action. In other words, influence examines the process that causes humans to change.
