THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD PROJECTS AND GREAT ONES – IS LEADERSHIP!

Governments at every level struggle with aging and inadequate infrastructure, increasing demands for service, shrinking staff expertise and limited funding.

Throughout the private sector, construction owners are tasked to build better with less money, work on more demanding sites, and meet ever-higher environmental and sustainability requirements.

As an owner, or a CM/PM service provider, you are in the center of this exacting environment.

In 2008, CMAA meets the challenge with the most ambitious, comprehensive and valuable Leadership Forum it has ever presented.

Join your colleagues in Baltimore for two days of learning and networking that will leave you better equipped than ever to deliver maximum value on every project and program.

Our 2008 Leadership Forum features:

  • Three outstanding keynote speakers.
  • 36 Professional Development sessions, twice as many as last year!
  • A new program structure that makes it easy to match sessions to your career stage and level of knowledge.

It all takes place in exciting downtown Baltimore, a charming urban mix of dining, entertainment, shopping and recreation that has been a model to many other cities worldwide. The hotel is conveniently located twelve miles from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) Airport, and just one block from Camden Yards. The Marriott offers two restaurants, indoor heated pool, and within walking distance of the Inner Harbor and the National Aquarium.

Professional Development Programming

The 2008 Leadership Forum incorporates a wide variety of education session opportunities. The sessions are presented by speakers and panelists who provide insights into the construction management industry. The sessions are grouped in the following tracks:

  • Management
  • Risk
  • Leadership

  • You can access a complete listing with speaker names and descriptions of the sessions being offered at the Forum by using the links below or, for an overview, refer to the education session schedule at a glance.

CMAA University provides registrants with professional development credit for each education session attended. In order to meet the varied formats for reporting mandated education requirements to licensing boards, credits are identified in both Professional Development Hours (PDH) and Continuing Education Units (CEUs). In addition, CMAA is registered with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as an approved provider of Learning Units (LU). Conference attendees may earn and report up to 12 PDH, 1.2 CEU, and 12 LU from participating in the conference. Electronic transcripts and AIA reports are available by request. CCMs can also earn two (2) points towards CMCI re-certification by attending this conference.
